Iain was killed in a tragic accident in Telford in Shropshire while performing a skydiving display at a Falconery Fair. While coming in to land, strong winds blew him off course and rather than land in the crowd, possibly killing others, he tried to correct his approach, his canopy collapsed and caused him to crash into the ground. He was hailed a hero.
